Creating a simple and personal approach to website development and hosting.

Client story

Brightspire

Brand Identity / Corporate Stationery / Responsive Website Design

Brightspire, a web development business, was founded by Chris Anderson in 2011. Brightspire exists to guide clients through the digital landscape, and Chris does so by artfully avoiding confusing ‘tech’ speak. Working with SME’s or small-medium businesses, predominantly designers and agencies, Brightspire focuses on website design, development, and website hosting.

Brief

Brightspire was in need of a rebrand given the existing branding was inconsistent and did not reflect Chris’s efficiency, professionalism, and clear approach. The goal was set to create a brand that gave a ‘tech’ look and feel, while clearly representing the uncomplicated guidance Brightspire offers. Given Brightspire’s B2B approach, the brand was also expected to appeal to a visually savvy audience.

Process

We started Brightspire’s rebrand by creating a visual reference to ‘code’ language in the typography through the use of underscores and brackets. To reflect the no fuss style of Brightspire’s digital guidance, a simple aesthetic was achieved by stripping away all unnecessary elements. Three logo straplines were created in punchy, vibrant colours to clearly articulate Brightspire’s services and benefits.

Testimonial

The initial meeting and strategic workshop with Raine & Makin was an invaluable step in the process; particularly for myself to hone in on the business values, focus and positioning. Brightspire now has a strong, consistant brand identity that clearly communicates what we do and how we do it. When my own clients are in need of a brand strategy and identity, Raine & Makin are at the top of the list.
